DO YOU REMEMBER THE STATUTORY UNDERTAKINGS YOU GAVE?
When Directors, Transport Managers, business partners and/or individuals apply for an Operator’s Licence they all give significant Statutory Undertakings to which they must comply on a daily basis.
However, how many Operators have these systems audited? How many undertake Internal Audits? How many have a ‘tick-box’ audit?
In our experience, where many clients we encounter are as a consequence of the proverbial ‘hitting the fan’, many audits do not look at all the matters that can lead to action being taken.
Whether an encounter with the Enforcement Authorities is at a roadside encounter, a routine visit, intelligence led, as a consequence of a road traffic incident or serious accident, why wait until then to see if your systems are sufficiently robust to evidence ‘continuous and effective management of Compliance.
